What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and user agent string (used to identify the browser) to help spam detection support.
If you are a registered user and upload photos to this website, you should avoid uploading photos with an EXIF GPS location. Visitors to this website may download photos stored on this website and extract location information from them.
If you contact us via e-mail or the contact form with questions of any kind, give us your voluntary consent for the purpose of establishing contact. We refrain from mentioning your name and your e-mail address.
Depending on what you want to achieve by contacting us, it still makes sense to provide a valid e-mail address. Because without them we can’t get in touch with you. We use the WordPress plugin wpforms Lite for the functionality of the contact form. This version is not able to save form input. The content of the form is only sent to us by email.
If you leave a comment on our website, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. This is a convenience feature so that when you write another comment, you don’t have to re-enter all of this information. These cookies are stored for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will set up some cookies to save your login information and viewing options. Login cookies expire after two days and display options cookies after one year. If you select “Keep me signed in” when registering, your registration will be kept for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be deleted.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and only refers to the post ID of the article you just edited. The cookie expires after one day.
Embedded content from other websites
Posts on this website may contain embedded content (e.g. videos, images, posts, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the other website.
We use Google Analytics to analyze website usage. The data obtained from this is used to optimize our website and advertising measures.
Google Analytics is a web analytics service operated and provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States). Google processes the website usage data on our behalf and contractually undertakes to take measures to ensure the confidentiality of the processed data.
During your visit to the website, the following data, among others, is recorded:
- Pages viewed
- Orders including the turnover and the ordered products
- The achievement of “website goals” (e.g. contact requests and newsletter subscriptions)
- Your behavior on the pages (e.g. clicks, scrolling behavior and length of stay)
- Your approximate location (country and city)
- Your IP address (in abbreviated form so that no clear assignment is possible)
- Technical information such as browser, Internet provider, end device and screen resolution
- Source of your visit (ie via which website or via which advertising medium you came to us)
This data is transmitted to a Google server in the USA. Google observes the data protection provisions of the “EU-US Privacy Shield” agreement.
Google Analytics stores cookies in your web browser for a period of two years since your last visit. These cookies contain a randomly generated user ID with which you can be recognized on future website visits.
The recorded data is stored together with the randomly generated user ID, which enables the evaluation of pseudonymous user profiles. This user-related data is automatically deleted after 14 months. Other data is stored in aggregate form indefinitely.
If you do not agree to the collection, you can prevent it by installing the browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics once.
How long we store your data
If you write a comment, it will be stored indefinitely, including metadata. This way we can automatically recognize and approve follow-up comments instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users who register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profiles. All users can view, change or delete their personal information at any time (the username cannot be changed). Website administrators can also view and edit this information.
What rights you have to your data
If you have an account on this website or have written comments, you can request an export of your personal data from us, including any data you have given us. In addition, you can request the deletion of all personal data that we have stored about you. This does not include data that we are required to keep for administrative, legal or security reasons.
Where we send your data to
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
